Course Summary
In this Oracle PCMCS training course you'll learn the concepts required to design and create Oracle Profitability and Cost Management Cloud Service (PCMCS) applications to identify and exploit profitability through the development of complex what-if scenarios and reporting.
Find out how to model structures, design calculation rule sets and rules, deploy applications and use PCMCS tools and Smart View to analyse and report on data.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course learners will be able to:
- Recognize the various dimension types used within PCMCS
- Appraise the use of Points of View to distinguish between alternative sets of allocate data
- Differentiating between the use of data to be allocated and driver data, used to govern the allocations
- Explore the use of Rule Sets to group together Rules which calculate and allocate data in a similar manner
- Illustrate the use of iterative execution when calculating reciprocal allocations
- Experiment with custom calculations to allow non-standard allocations of data
Course Description
The course focuses on the design, build, system administration and deployment of Oracle PCMCS (Profitability and Cost Management) applications. You’ll discover the tasks involved in preparing the structure and dimensionality of the allocation model, together with the strategies for the creation and deployment of applications.
Learn about the calculation rules and the rule sets required to effectively and efficiently model data within PCMCS. Discover how to execute the model and explore the use of manifold tools to view and analyse allocated data.This hands-on course provides everything you’ll need to design, build and maintain PCMCS models and applications.

What's included?
Your subscription gives you 90 days of access to the course materials. We also provide between 14 and 28 days of access to a live hands-on lab environment (subject to the course purchased). Once the lab has been made available it cannot be suspended. You can request a start date for access to your hands-on lab. You will use the same environment for all workshops in this course and these should be completed within your allocated hands-on lab reservation. If you need additional time, it's possible to purchase a Hands-On Lab Extension for an additional 14 or 28 days.
