Course Summary
Learn the various approaches for loading source data into analytical applications using FDMEE. Understand how to integrate FDMEE with numerous source and target systems. Define mapping tables, import formats, validation reports and work with locations and load rules to load data and setup security.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course learners will be able to:
- Identify how to set up source systems and target EPM applications in Data Management
- Differentiate between mapping types and how they are used to map source information to the correct target
- Recognize how to create Import Formats and how they can be used to format data as it is being imported into FDMEE
- Recall how Locations bring together the required information to successfully perform an import from the source and an export to the target Oracle EPM application
- Build SQL mappings, Multi-Dimensional mappings, Format Mask mappings and Jython event scripts
- Recognize how to build an application to application data transfer
Course Description
Explore the look, feel and functionality of FDMEE. Find out how to load data to Oracle Hyperion EPM applications and discover how to synchronise data seamlessly across products. Learn to create and maintain mapping tables and mapping scripts and build import formats to define ledger output files. Work with Life Cycle Management and see how to back up or migrate applications.
Gain an understanding of the Excel Interface and explore the underlying FDMEE relational database. This course also includes a brief introduction to the Jython scripting language used by FDMEE, although a more detailed scripting course is also available.

What's included?
Your subscription gives you 90 days of access to the course materials. We also provide between 14 and 28 days of access to a live hands-on lab environment (subject to the course purchased). Once the lab has been made available it cannot be suspended. You can request a start date for access to your hands-on lab. You will use the same environment for all workshops in this course and these should be completed within your allocated hands-on lab reservation. If you need additional time, it's possible to purchase a Hands-On Lab Extension for an additional 14 or 28 days.
