Designed for partners providing project management, programme management or customer-side delivery support, this course develops a practical understanding of OneStream functionality, terminology, processes and implementation considerations. It enables participants to better understand what is being designed and delivered, engage confidently with implementation teams and customer stakeholders, and recognise the key decisions, dependencies and risks that can affect delivery.

The course provides relevant OneStream knowledge across the implementation lifecycle, helping participants apply their existing project management skills more effectively in a OneStream environment and support delivery that remains aligned with scope, timescales, budget and customer requirements.

Course Description

Managing a OneStream implementation successfully requires more than conventional project management skills. Project managers need sufficient knowledge of the platform, its terminology and the way a OneStream implementation progresses to understand what is being delivered, recognise dependencies and identify where project risk may be developing.

This course gives partners the functional understanding needed to manage a OneStream implementation on behalf of a customer, including where the solution is being designed and built by a separate implementation partner. Attendees will explore OneStream dimensionality and understand how data is loaded, entered, consolidated, adjusted, translated and analysed. They will examine workflow, data integration, financial consolidation, intercompany processing, journals, planning, reporting and the Excel Add-In.

The objective is not to teach participants how to configure or build a OneStream application. Instead, the course provides the knowledge needed to understand the activities being undertaken by implementation teams, the dependencies between them and the implications of key design decisions.

Participants will develop the ability to engage more effectively with solution architects, functional consultants, technical teams and customer stakeholders. They will be better equipped to assess whether project activities are progressing as expected, identify questions that need to be resolved and understand the potential impact of changes to scope, design or delivery sequencing. The course also considers the project lifecycle from a customer perspective. Participants will explore the importance of design decisions, data and integration readiness, testing preparation, UAT, defect management, cutover, go-live readiness and the transition into business as usual.

By developing a practical understanding of OneStream alongside the implementation lifecycle, partners will be better positioned to provide effective customer-side governance and project management, helping ensure that implementations remain aligned with requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
