If you want to move beyond configuring OneStream and start to develop and extend the OneStream platform, this session is ideal for you.

Event Handlers allow OneStream to respond automatically to activity across the platform. They can be used to automate tasks, introduce additional controls, improve the user experience, and connect business processes with custom logic. In this free, instructor-led training session, you will gain a practical introduction to OneStream Event Handlers and understand how they fit within the wider Business Rule framework.

Using VB.NET and the OneStream APIs, you will create and test an Event Handler, explore the information OneStream passes to your rule, and see how business rules can be used to respond to different events.

You will work with concepts such as before and after events, OperationName, event arguments and contextual inputs, gaining practical experience of how Event Handlers operate within a OneStream application.

You should already be comfortable navigating a OneStream application, and while a basic understanding of scripting concepts would be helpful, previous experience with VB.NET is not required.
