Course Description

Gain a practical understanding of how to build, configure, and maintain Essbase 21c applications to support dynamic business needs. Explore the key differences between Block Storage (BSO) and Aggregate Storage (ASO), and learn how to design multidimensional structures that balance flexibility with performance. Understand outline creation, metadata management, and how to work effectively with dense and sparse dimensions to adopt best practice modelling.

Learn how to load and manage data using load rules, MaxL scripts, and the REST API, and discover how to apply calculation scripts to drive precise, efficient data transformations. Get hands-on with Smart View to build and customise ad hoc reports in Excel, and explore the Essbase web interface for expanded analysis options.
