Course Description
This course equips attendees with the practical skills needed to work confidently with OneStream dashboards. Attendees will learn to interpret the structure and data that underpin existing dashboards, understand how dashboard components interact and how to maintain them as applications and requirements evolve over time.
Attendees will also learn to build executive dashboards that present cube data effectively and explore administrator dashboards to understand their design and recreate their core functionality. The course concludes this section with techniques for diagnosing and resolving common dashboard issues, ensuring dashboards remain reliable, performant, and easy to use.
The second part of the course introduces Genesis, a low-code, plug-and-play solution for building and managing dashboards. Attendees will learn how to install and configure Genesis, set up shared Workspaces and content blocks, and explore how to create, manage, back up, restore, and upgrade Genesis instances.
Whilst examining these features, attendees will see how to build intuitive navigation structures using Application Groups, Navigation Groups, and Pages, linking to content blocks and configuring access to a wide array of content. These skills come together as attendees assemble analytic dashboards and landing pages and customise interface elements.
The course also covers the administration of Genesis content, including managing security settings for visibility and access control, deleting unused content to maintain system performance, and importing and exporting content libraries.
By the end of the course, attendees will be able to confidently read, maintain, build, and troubleshoot OneStream dashboards, as well as design, configure, and administer dashboard solutions using Genesis.
