By the end of this course learners will be able to:
- Differentiate between Navigation, Data Entry and Design modes to understand which to use for the action required
- Identify the key components used to build reports
- Recall how to setup user prompts using parameters within reports
- Explain how cell fields can be added to reports to display additional dynamic information, such as currency and report titles
- Summarize the different methods that can be used to format reports
- Critique the design of reports to achieve optimal performance and usability
Course Description
This two-day course provides attendees with hands-on experience of how to build reports to review data from the Tagetik data model. Find out how to use the Excel client and understand when to use the Design, Navigation and Data Entry modes when using a data form.
Explore all necessary features to build basic to advanced forms to understand how the different components likes matrixes and filters come together to create a form. Learn how to add additional features to forms including parameters to prompt users for dimension selections, formulas, dynamic aggregations, and formatting.
