By the end of this course learners will be able to:
- Explain how dimensions and elements are used to structure and analyze data
- Identify the key differences between the End User and Admin interfaces
- Differentiate the use of Groupings and Hierarchies as aggregation structures
- Summarize the key properties of each dimension and how these determine data model functionality
- Implement a Financial Statement Template as an alternative aggregation structure in the Accounts dimension
- Recall the purpose and benefits of adding additional custom dimensions to the data model
Course Description
This one-day course provides attendees with hands-on experience of how to understand the Tagetik data model, including the CCH® Tagetik architecture and interface navigation. Find out the different aggregation structures that are available and consider which is the most appropriate.
Explore the purpose of each dimension and investigate the key properties to help understand how the data model functionality can be tailored. Learn how to create additional custom dimensions to further tailor the data model to specific requirements.
