Learning objectives

Get hands-on with FDMEE and learn the fundamentals of this new solution. Explore both automated and manual migration strategies in preparation for working with an implementation partner for the redesign of existing FDM classic applications.

Course description

This course is designed for existing FDM classic administrators and explores the possibilities and pitfalls associated with the adoption of FDMEE. Find out what's new and different in terms of the technology, gain an understanding of what can be migrated and discover which elements will benefit from further development to take advantage of FDMEE's new features.

Although this course introduces students to the new scripting capabilities using Jython, we recommend supplementary classroom and/or e-learning courses for those that require more extensive experience with scripting for FDMEE. Students will explore the new user interface and gain an understanding of the new mapping capabilities of FDMEE. They’ll also evaluate thenew reporting and scripting frameworks as well
as delving into the underlying databases to find out more about the structural differences with FDMEE.
